About author

Motivated by his son's battle with brain cancer and experiences with his beloved dogs and cats, B.E. Boucher created the Jonster the Monster and the Bear trilogy to celebrate the people and animals who opened his eyes to infinite horizons. A vegetarian, the author is an animal lover dedicated to the humane treatment of all creatures. His characters (the Searchers) reflect his humane convictions as they seek to overcome callous and cruel adversaries with virtue. Jonster and the Bear are guided by two beacons of truth as they search for the Sceptre. Hope and humor are powerful ammunition against staggering odds, and every sentient being deserves respect and compassion

Young people facing health challenges, bullying, or just normal kid and teenage issues are invited to give their troubles the day off and join a band of reluctant heroes fighting to save new, but cherished friends from dark forces. Victory is thought to reside in a fabled Sceptre, the ultimate weapon.

The trilogy weaves the author's childhood experiences into imaginative adventures filled with unforgettable characters, fun, and most importantly, inspiration

Mr. Boucher also penned the Crosswords anthology of short stories geared to younger readers. In a light, but thought-provoking way, Grosswords highlights the endless tug of war between kids and parents as they find themselves caught up in offbeat situations with surprising twists
